While reading this article, I understand that their is alot of confusion, whether that the prisoners are being treated humane or not. Their has been several remarks made from the lawyers that prisoners are being held in their cells twenty four hours a day, not allowing them to make contact with each other. By doing this they are causing psychological damage to the detaines.
President Obama has ordered an inspection to be done right away. The report suggest that the prison is in accordance with the Geneva convention. The lawyers are suggesting that the prison was doing a clean up to impress those that was leading the investigation.
President Obama has made a statement that he hopes to close the prison within a year and that all prisoners be released. My concern is where will the prisoners be released. Will they release them here in the U.S. or will they take them back to there own country.

clean coal
Clean coal, is it possible? President Obama said during his campaign "If we can send a man to the moon in ten years, surely we can figure out how to make coal clean. Coal is one of the United States most abundant resource. Coal is widely used here in the states. One of the setbacks to using coal is, that it's highly pollutant, it puts off large amounts of carbon dioxide that is poisonious.
President Obama also stated that by using coal it would create millions of jobs. Coal is one of the biggest employer here in Kentucky. Many families depend upon coal for a source of heat in Kentucky only. Many people are convinced that coal can be clean to burn here in the states.
On the opossite side of the arguement we have the reality coalition saying it can't be done. Both sides are running ads that support there ideas. Which is true? It's a debate that will go on for a long time. It would be a big step for the United States if we could really extract all the poluttants from coal. It would make a big impact on our economy if we could.

Stimulus plan
Here we go again, there is a battle on Capitol Hill. The Rebulican party states the new Stimulus package will not work the way the Democrats has it laid out. President Obama is very much in favor of this Stimulus package. Right or wrong is the question at hand with unemployment at it's highest, and more and more people losing jobs.In my opinion the economy status is based on the fact that with people losing jobs they just don't have the money to go and spend in order to keep the economy afloat. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/07/us/politics/07stimulus.html?hp

peanutbutter scare
I just read this article about peanutbutter and how it has been tainted causing a simonella outbreak. Millions and probably billions of people have this item of food in there pantry. I am astounded how something like this could happen. We definitely need a better system in controling how that our food is packaged and distrubited to it;s people. I was shocked when watching television and saw that workers were interviewed and reported how nasty things really was.
This one gentleman stated that roaches were every where, and said often they were baked right alone with the peanuts ,then put in the products. How can this happen? There should be some way to monitor these manufactures more closely. These things just can"t happen.www.newyork times.com
